ia Blueprint Onboarding - Zoom
One of the different formats that you can use for communicating with your remote staff, your virtual employees, as well as also really your staff that you have that work inside of your office, stateside, or maybe in different places. That platform is called Zoom.
Now, I know a lot of people will have got like a little bit of bitter taste about it, because of the pandemic era that we lived in where we had to have these meetings on that. I want you to think about it again in this light, it's a great way to have a meeting with multiple people in multiple locations, where you can share a screen and show somebody a process or a procedure, as well as also allow dial dialog, effectively while recording it.
With a zoom call, it doesn't matter where people are at, everybody can join the meeting at one time, you can share your desktop, so everybody can see what's going on and what you're talking about and then you can also allow interaction where people are asking questions, you can share links, videos, files, all through that format, as well as also record that.
Now, why would you want to record it? Well, there are a couple of reasons. One of them is just if you need it as a point of reference, maybe someone couldn't make it, they need to watch the video to be brought up to speed. What else can you do? Let's talk about you covering a brand new procedure that you want the staff to be aware of, who has different roles and all these different things and parts of this, that people are going to be responsible for a while. Just say, hey, you need to watch this tutorial video and you share that with them. You just created a tutorial in a meeting that can be used for years to come for those different employees. Virtual employees are very good at using tutorials, we sometimes especially like type A personalities. We don't like doing that, we want to just get in there and just get it done.
Virtual employees have a different skill set. They're very good at being task oriented, policies and procedures, doing something is like step one, step two, step three, step four, they're very good at that sort of thing, where they will use that video as a tutorial to make sure that they do it exactly like you want it to be done. Imagine that, having an employee that wants to do it like you want them to do it and they care enough to watch a video of you saying that is how you want it done. That way, they make sure they do it like you want it done.
How about that? And you did it all with a simple recording of a meeting in zoom. Where you think about zoom, use this in your business. I promise you this is a great tool to help you run a more efficient business.
